Genuine Swiss Military Surplus Mess Kit

Description

Thick and sturdy aluminium two-piece mess kit issued by the military of Switzerland.  Old-fashioned European design with interlocking kidney-shaped pieces such as used by many nations during WWII.  Manufacturer and year are stamped on bottom and will vary but generally these appear to be from the 80s.  These are all in fully-functional condition with no or very minor dents or other damage but all have extensive wear to the black paint.
Includes a large pot with swinging handle for hanging and a smaller pan with horizontal folding handle that contains holes for a longer pole/stick.  Due to being aluminium these are relatively light despite their thick build and will not rust from adverse conditions.
Weighs about 430g or 15oz and measures approximately 17x19x9.5cm or 6.5x7.5x4.5 inches.
Individual in photographs was chosen at random and not cleaned prior to photographing and is representative of overall condition.  Sold as collectibles, if you choose to use them for their actual intended purpose it is recommended you give them a good cleaning first, and don't put aluminum in a dishwasher.
